Why does this activated carbon have a moisture content as high as 12% or more?
Because this activated carbon is impregnated with a potassium hydroxide solution, which retains a certain level of moisture and cannot be fully dried. Potassium hydroxide is a flammable substance and may easily ignite spontaneously upon contact with oxygen. Therefore, a moisture content above 12% is maintained to ensure safety.

How is the service life of activated carbon determined?
The service life is judged based on its hydrogen sulfide adsorption capacity. There are two common methods to test this capacity: penetration sulfur capacity and saturated sulfur capacity. Typically, penetration capacity provides more practical information. Boyue supports third-party testing for penetration capacity, ensuring reliable and trustworthy performance.
